This super 29% scale Mosquito was built by Gordon Nichols. It had a wingspan of 15ft span. The construction of the fuselage used balsa and ply wood whereas the wings were made of foam. It was powered by two 3W 120 Boxer twins and weighed 170lbs. Ten battery packs had been used to power the model. Gordon said it was a great aircraft to fly, but would severely weathercock on the runway resulting in many groundloops. Sadly, the model was destroyed in early 2002 due to an in-flight engine failure (Cosford 2001).
