Three Counties 2002

The Herefordshire Model Aero Club hosted another good event this year. We were lucky with the weather again and the forecast of heavy rain over this mid-September weekend proved to be wrong. Instead the crowd was able to watch the flying of a good variety of models all under the 20kg weight limit. There was only one shower during the show on Sunday afternoon. Just after the show finished at about 5.30pm we were reminded how lucky we had been - it absolutely poured down. Everyone just about managed to pack-up their models in-time.

The show was, as always, well organised with a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere which everyone enjoyed. The flying strip was superb with short grass, no loose cuttings on the surface and well prepared and clearly marked starting boxes. A lot of hard preparation work had obviously been done. There was a good mix of traders present and the additional bonus of knowing that the show was making a contribution to local charities.

The ten pictures below give an indication of the types of models flown.
