Some time ago the LMA agreed with the CAA that a 2 tier Inspection system would be put in place for the build and witness flying of Over 80kg models. The scheme has worked very successfully but has placed a strain on the limited number of Inspector Safety Panel members.
At their Committee meeting in March at Wigan the LMA decided to address this problem by introducing a 2 tier level of Inspectors – namely Inspectors and Senior Inspectors. The Chairman and the Chief Examiner of the Over 20kg Scheme were authorised to re-organise the system based on this principal.

Senior Inspectors will now fulfil the role of the old Safety Panel member duties.
If, for temporary geographical reasons , there is a requirement for temporary additional Senior Inspectors , then a suitable person from the Inspectors list will be appointed to fulfil that temporary role.
