This page contains details of the LMA events at which the public are invited to attend. These events are always extremely popular with LMA members and public spectators.  A list of this year's events is presented first and then some reports from previous events to give you a flavour of what you could be missing.


Details of the public displays in 2012 are:  

Bradford Spring Seminar 11th March
This is held at the Richard Dunn Sports Centre Bradford, this will be the second year at this venue, please support it if you can. A map and accommodation detail available here

East Kirkby
April 7th & 9th   (Sunday 8th closed to public LMA Fly-in on the airfield)
First Public flying event of the year at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre home of Just Jane set in the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside. A map and accommodation detail available here 

Rougham 5th & 6th May (Friday the 4th May is for LMA Members only.)
The LMA will now be running the full show which is staged on a WWII airfield,so expect a good selection of large models and teams. A map and accommodation detail available here 

Scottish Air Show - Perth airfield  9th & 10th June ‘provisional’
the LMA has supported this popular Scottish model event every year. A map and accommodation detail available soon

Cosford 28th & 29th July  
Known as the biggest and best model show in the country. The range and scale of the aircraft flown is truly awe-inspiring. Cosford museum is one of the best in the country ,visit the Cold War section a host of interesting items to view. A real treat of a model show.  Arrangements are not yet finalised, but you can sure we will have something special to show (with the usual caveat on conditions of serviceability and weather conditions).   A map and accommodation details are available here

Elvington 11th & 12th August, (This has replaced Rufforth)
Second year at this event, this is one you won’t want to miss. A map and accommodation details are available here    

Much Marcle 1st & 2nd September (
Supported by the LMA)
A great show with donations of the funds made given to local charities. Sponsored by Herefordshire MAC at their flying field just off the A449. A map and accommodation details available here

Gaydon Motor Museum - Static Show and Trade Event, 28th October
The Large Model Association’s Static and Trade Show at Gaydon has become one of the most prestigious events in the LMA calendar.
