Withernsea Fly-in 2001

The three day fly-in takes place each year over the early May bank holiday.

This year we had good weather with plenty of sunshine and a brisk wind off the North Sea. Many members made the trip and the photographs below give an idea of the range of flying that was seen.

A 25% scale Wilga, owned by Chris Bland, powered by a 3W60.

Roger Bale's latest plane is a 25% scale model of the  Supermarine 224. It has a wingspan of 13" and weighs 38lb.

Stephen Carr starts his B17 whilst being helped by other members of the USAAF team.
