There are a variety of events in which members can participate. The flying events can be categorised into three types :- Public Displays in which members are encouraged to participate and members of the public can watch some spectacular flying of large models.
‘Fly-In’ events which are much more informal than the main shows and offer members a chance to get together and enjoy the flying. There is no public admittance at these events, and for more details look under the ‘Resources’ menu above.
Static Events such as the fabulous Gaydon event which increases in size and popularity year upon year. You will find a link at the top of this page to allow you to view Past Events.
Indoor static model display. This popular Show has over 100 large static model aircraft on display without the restriction of fencing often used at other shows. You can meet the builders and pilots at the Show and talk to them about their various projects. The display will feature a wide range of models including WW1, WW2, jets and more.
Museum and display open from 10:00 until 17:00.
Extensive trade presence.
Three modelling technique workshops will run on the day from Paul Dudley (Kingfisher Aviation), Tony Nijhuis (Tony Nijhuis Designs) and Paul Lewis (Composite Scale Kits).
Entry £10 per person with LMA or BMFA membership card. All tickets give entry to the Show, Museum and Collections Centre buildings. Tickets can be purchased to enter on the day at the following rates:
